「かなば」から広げる再生の美

「かなば」という言葉の響きに惹かれ、

この自然素材でできた花を「かなばフラワー」と名付けました。

ほんのりと自然な木の香りのするお花です。

The flower made from the natural materials is named “Kanaba Flower”,

because we are attracted by the sound of word “Kanaba”.

It is a flower with a slightly natural wood scent.

木材を削るときに出るかんな屑を、

高知県では「かなば」と呼んでいます。

　その由来は、薄くスライスした木片という意味の鉋刃（かんなば）からきています。

　香りや木の風合いの残った薄く透けるような「かなば」を利用し、

ひとつひとつ手作りで花の作品を作っています。

Planer scrape generated from scraping wood are called “Kanaba” in Kochi prefecture.

This comes from the planer blade which means a thin pies of wood.

Using the thin and transparent “Kanaba” that has the scent and texture ofwood, 

we make flower works one by one by hand.
